…update this blog! I was surprised to see that it has been 5 months since I have last posted anything! If it weren't for Instagram and Facebook it would seem I dropped off the face of the earth. Ha, no wait there is email. What has happened in the last 5 months? The newborn is now a chubby baby. He can roll over but it still surprises himself when he does roll over, wants to sit up but needs more practice. He wants and does chew on everything he gets his hands on. I feel his two bottom teeth bumps under his gums. He wakes me up once a night to eat and sometime change his diaper. I probably need to put him in #3 diapers soon! He loves seeing and hearing his big sister. She doesn't stay close to him for long, she is a free spirit, goes wherever she can. He loves anyone's attention (what baby doesn't) he knows when I leave the room! The difficult part now is that he fights naps, he fights going to sleep. The annoying part is the longer he stays awake the harder it is for him to sleep! He is only taking one nap a day. He needs longer naps, I need for him to sleep more in the daytime. I am typing this now because he is still sleeping this morning (8am).
The main reason I wanted to sit down and post an update is that yesterday evening Kevin finally finished his last paper for this last semester! He graduates from Southern Seminary next Thursday! It is surreal because life is going on as usual. Though in a couple of days it will sink in when Kevin plays more and relaxes more rather than go and read or write a paper.
We are starting a new chapter in our lives. So, what is next?
This coming month and this summer we will have a clearer path, hopefully. We have been praying and looking at the possibility of Kevin becoming a intern with a church in hopes of becoming a church planter. We like the possibility of joining a established church in an area where we would be planting in the future. That church group would then mentor us and help us on the planting journey in theory.
Kevin plans to travel to Lowell, Mass. around the end of May to meet with a pastor and a man who is the New Hampshire church planting catalyst. Hopefully we will have a clearer picture after those meetings.
So, today and this month we are going to celebrate Kevin and his 4+ years sacrifice of being a full time student, being a husband, father and with a full -time job.
God is good, God sustains. Glory goes to God.
