I love a Parade...

I had the opportunity to see a parade here in town. This wasn't my first parade to see but it was the first one to see in East Asia. Here you can expect everything to be extravagant. This parade had from releasing doves and thousands of balloons into the air to foreigners dancing down the street. My favorite part of the parade was the lion dragons (狮龙). I love seeing them perform.

Besides the many dragons there were performs dressed traditional clothes, singing some folk songs.










Like I said before I love a parade!

Birthday package

The package could not have come at a better time! I was just missing my birthday weekend and not looking forward to a new week. Then I got a call from the post man asking if I was home. How excited when I received the package and saw the address from Oklahoma!
I cannot express how happy I was to open the package! I know I have been getting packages like this for the past 2 years but the excitement never wears out. I love all the goodies and deliciourrs smelling candles! I am set for fall weather! Now I just need to wait for the temperature to actually feel like autumn! All the goodies are equally special and yummy!

birthday weekend

I have officially turned 25. How do I feel? I feel just as tired as I did when I was 24!
No, really, I am thankful for another year to experience more of what Dad has planned for me, but not that I get older in the process. That's life.

I like this month b/c it includes many exciting events. First of course is on the 8th, my 25th b-day. I do not know how I really feel about turning a quarter of a century. My b-day reminds me of my age but my mind doesn’t agree! Second is having the opportunity to see friends finally getting there long awaited son. I am glad I could still be on the East side when this exciting day happens! Third is the beginning of the changing weather. Actually I really have to wait until December to feel the full coolness of fall. October marks the beginning of fall with the Chinese mid-Autumn festival.
October also marks my 2nd anniversary arriving on the East side. It will be 2 years exactly on the 17th, wow how time flies.
